Job Title: Environmental Program Specialist
Location: Jefferson City, MO (Hybrid)
Duration : 4 Months Possible extension
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. (occasional evening and weekend work required)
Travel Requirements: In-state travel with possible overnight stays; infrequent out-of-state travel
Key Responsibilities:
• Communication with Schools and Parents: Act as the primary liaison, providing updates, addressing concerns, and distributing accessible educational materials.
• Data Analytics and Interpretation: Oversee wastewater sample collection, collaborate with laboratories to interpret results, and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Program Coordination: Manage project logistics, including sampling schedules and laboratory testing, while ensuring adherence to safety standards and program protocols.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate meetings and provide updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and fostering effective collaboration.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Public Health, Biology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4-6 years of relevant experience in environmental program management, public health initiatives, or wastewater testing methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of opioid-related public health concerns and wastewater testing procedures.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) to present findings clearly.
• Experience in community engagement and working on public health initiatives.
