Compensation : Upto $1200 / Week
Job Summary :
We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Specialist to join our team in Ithaca, NY . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial support to the Accounting Department. This position will maintain accounting files including daily work, accounts payable and some accounts receivable and will work collaboratively with Purchasing to maintain payable files, calculate appropriate accruals and prepare year-end 1099’s. This position will also aid in the daily bank deposit process. The Accounting Specialist will be expected to assist in other accounting projects and functions as needed.
Key Responsibilities :
- Responsible for all accounts payable functions, including processing internal reimbursement requests.
- Creates journal entries as needed and assists in the monthly closing process.
- Responsible for daily cash reconciliation process and preparation of daily bank deposit, including petty cash functions.
- Responsible for reconciliation of vendor statements and accounts on a routine basis.
Required Skills & Experience : 2 Years of experience.
Education & Licensure : High School Diploma or GED.
Salary : $1,200
