Emergency Department Pharmacist

Qualifications :

  • B.S. in Pharmacy or PharmD.
  • NYS licensed; experience in an emergency or critical care setting preferred.
  • Strong ability to make quick clinical decisions.
  • Must pass pre-employment health clearance.

Duties :

  • Works closely with emergency room physicians to ensure rapid and safe medication administration.
  • Prepares and dispenses urgent medications, including intravenous solutions.
  • Provides real-time drug interaction assessments for critical patients.
  • Educates staff on emergency medication protocols.
  • Ensures compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Participates in emergency response training and drills.
