Endoscopy Care Technician
Duties:
- Work closely with the RN to support patient care and endoscopy procedures.
- Take and monitor vital signs, assist with EKGs, and prepare patients for procedures.
- Perform maintenance and cleaning of medical equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions.
- Collect specimens and transport them to the lab as required.
- Ensure exam rooms are fully stocked with supplies and educational materials.
- Support emergency response efforts, including initiating CPR and preparing necessary items.
- Assist with patient transport and provide accurate instructions and information.
Skills Required:
- Familiarity with endoscopy procedures, patient care techniques, and equipment handling.
- Certification in BLS or equivalent preferred.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; certification as an NA/PCA is advantageous.
Stipend Range: $88,000 - $105,000 annually.
