Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Operations Specialist to function as a Level 1 Incident Manager for critical IT incidents and events. The ideal candidate will be responsible for quickly creating, escalating, triaging, and tracking technology-related incidents while maintaining excellent communication with IT staff, customers, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Level 1 Incident Manager, ensuring swift response to IT incidents.
- Utilize graphical monitoring systems to track infrastructure availability and performance.
- Monitor mainframe control consoles, periodically checking system performance.
- Assist with reviewing and validating mainframe job control language (not mandatory).
- Perform scheduled deliveries and be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Work onsite with no remote work option; shifts may include holidays, days, afternoons, and/or midnights.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3 years of experience with Microsoft Teams in a technical environment.
- Strong incident management and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced IT environment, ensuring efficient escalation and communication.
- Experience with mainframe monitoring and system performance tracking is a plus.
