Job Title: Medical Scheduler (Patient Access Representative)

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours: Guaranteed 40 hours per week
Contract Length: 1 Months (Possible Extension)
Pay Rate: $18/hour
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Medical Scheduler / Patient Access Representative to join our healthcare team. This role is critical in facilitating patient care by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, processing payments, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule patient appointments and ensure medical necessity compliance
Verify insurance eligibility and coverage details
Accurately process and post patient payments
Maintain and update patient demographic information in the system
Deliver outstanding customer service and respond to patient inquiries
Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including compliance with HIPAA
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support efficient patient flow
Qualifications:
Experience in patient access, medical scheduling, or front desk operations in a healthcare setting
Proficient in insurance verification and understanding of medical necessity guidelines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
