Job Title: Patient Services Specialist
Duties:
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and provide reminders to patients.
- Perform registration tasks, ensuring completeness and accuracy of data.
- Collect payments and reconcile charges, maintaining accurate financial records.
- Support medical billing by entering CPT-4 and ICD-9 codes into the system.
- Process referrals and handle insurance-related tasks, including pre-authorizations.
- Greet patients and provide assistance with forms and directions.
- Monitor and resolve patient flow issues in the waiting area.
Skills Required:
- Basic understanding of medical coding and terminology.
- Strong customer service and multitasking skills.
- Experience with managed care guidelines and billing systems.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional training in medical office procedures preferred.
Pay Range:
- Weekly: $1,275 - $1,525
