School Wellness Nurse

Qualifications:
- School Nurse Certification or Registered Nurse with experience in a school setting
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in high-pressure situations
- Current CPR certification
- Required criminal background check and proof of U.S. residency
Performance Responsibilities:
- Provides first aid and emergency care to students throughout the school day.
- Conducts health screenings, including annual hearing and vision checks and scoliosis screenings.
- Assists in developing and implementing school-wide wellness programs aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles for students and staff.
- Maintains detailed health records for students, including documenting all medical incidents, treatments, and follow-up care.
- Manages the collection of immunization records and ensures compliance with state and district health regulations.
- Provides consultations to parents and guardians regarding student health issues and follows up on referrals.
- Works closely with the school administration to ensure a safe and healthy school environment, including making recommendations for improvements based on observed health trends.
