Major Duties (Job Description)
- You will support the Director in the overall execution of the FRD's mission to modernize and support readiness of Fleet assets.
- You will advise programs of the technical needs of the warfighter to enable greater operational relevance of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) developing systems.
- You will provide insight of issues, gaps, and overlap with currently deployed Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems to facilitate constant improvement of the C4ISR capabilities delivered by the NAVWAR enterprise.
- You will serve as the Navy technical warrant holder for fleet integration of end-to-end C4ISR systems and capabilities.
- You will serve as an advisor to the Science and Technology community to communicate the future warfighting doctrine and help match emerging technologies with these future operational demands.
- You will provide guidance to facilitate decision-making processes, present justifications for proposed approaches, and provide technical consultation.
- You will advise the Program Executive Offices (PEOs) on readiness and modernization issues in the Fleet.
