Job Description
The NBCUniversal Advertising Sales & Partnerships organization is looking for a Sports & Olympics Analyst in the Insights & Measurement department. This is an opportunity for data-driven storytellers to develop sales-focused research and analytical solutions for NBCUniversal's unmatched collection of premiere sports properties, including the Olympics, Sunday Night Football, Super Bowl LX, the FIFA Men's World Cup, the NBA, College Football, Golf (including the U.S. Open, Open Championship and Ryder Cup), and more.
The Analyst will be responsible for producing reporting/insights for advertiser/sponsor campaigns based on viewership data, primary research, campaign impact resources and more. This role will partner closely across Insights & Measurement, Sales, Marketing and other internal teams to effectively position NBCU within the sports & media landscape.
Candidates should have a passion for sports, marketing and media, as well as an interest in how fans are consuming sports across TV, streaming and social platforms.

Responsibilities
- Support the Insights & Measurement team in the creation of detailed analyses, reports, presentations, and marketing/sales materials covering the NBC Sports properties
- Respond to day-to-day requests from internal stakeholders utilizing both syndicated and custom research tools - creating compelling insights to effectively position sports across linear and streaming (including Peacock) to the advertising community
- Develop content, consumer and category insights to support marketing opportunities based on audience delivery and profiles, buying behavior, and ad spending analyses
- Demonstrate advertisers' return on investing in media and sponsorship, using campaign results
- Analyze competitive trends of viewership, spending and marketing patterns
- Collaborate across the rest of the Insights & Measurement organization, as well as with Sports Sales, Marketing, Creative Partnerships, and Strategy to develop internal- and external-facing materials
- Work with Research counterparts on the Brand and Digital teams to leverage internal knowledge and insights with a sales-focused mindset
- Partner with stakeholders both inside and outside Ad Sales & Partnerships to support business needs
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- 0-2 years of relevant experience at a media company, agency, or vendor
- Bachelor's degree
- Expertise in both Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (formatting, creating charts/graphs, pivot tables, formulas, etc.)
- Strong quantitative skills, including both analytical abilities as well as media math proficiency preferred
- Ability to distill complex data sets from a variety of sources into clear data-driven insights
- Desire to learn quantitative/qualitative research methodologies, survey design and analysis
- Prior experience in TV and digital analytics or other syndicated research tools a plus (Nielsen, Adobe Analytics, Lake 5, comScore, YouGov, MRI-Simmons, etc.)
