POSITION OVERVIEW
NBME® is seeking a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Manager to support the implementation of the organization's DEI strategy and initiatives, building and maintaining a diverse workforce, and fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging. Reporting to the DEI Director, the Manager will collaborate with internal teams and the employee experience manager, support employee resource groups, and enhance employee engagement. Strong candidates will have a passion for DEI, enjoy interacting with staff, and excel at creating inclusive programs. They should be execution-oriented, detail-oriented, data-driven, able to manage multiple tasks, skilled at collaboration, agile, adaptable, driven, and dedicated.
This role is primarily remote, requiring minimal onsite attendance in addition for quarterly change-of-pace days, which are mandatory for all employees in the organization. While this role can be designated as remote, you are offered the flexibility to select if you prefer to work primarily remotely, hybrid, or on-site. We're open to considering candidates within 50 miles of our office location in Philadelphia, PA.

RESPONSIBLITIES
- Provide oversight for employee resource groups by providing guidance and ensuring activities are aligned with the organization's mission and values.
- Manage the DEI SharePoint site; this includes curating content, partnering with the DEI advisory council and employee resource groups to update content, and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure the content is aligned with the organization's practices and policies.
- Keep current on DEI trends, best practices, and program development.Track key DEI metrics to measure outcomes, deliver accountability, and ensure transparency
- Collaborate with the Director on strategic initiatives that drive staff satisfaction and a culture of inclusion and belonging
- Create and implement DEI communications, campaigns, and support events, including heritage and cultural education and celebrations, throughout the year.
- Project manage multiple, complex, cross-functional projects, including tracking metrics, and managing implementation
- Assist with budget development for the DEI unit
- Develop meeting agendas, organize pre-meeting materials, and create meeting minutes.
- Work cross-functionally with human resources, community collaborations and contributions, strategic communications, and other units as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent program and/or project management and organization skills, with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, while driving execution in a rapidly changing environment
- Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation and presentation skills
Experience
- Five or more years of progressive, relevant experience
- Experience working on DEI strategy and initiatives in a corporate, nonprofit, educational or community organization
- Experience building programs that drive engagement.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
