POSITION OVERVIEW

The HR Data and Compensation Analyst will analyze employee and compensation data, establish metrics and statistics, as well as help prioritize/deliver reports, and utilize market trends to inform/support business and workforce goals.

This role has been designated as primarily remote which means it generally does not require onsite work more than an average of 2-3 times per month and may require additional prescheduled onsite work. We're open to considering candidates in the following states: PA, NJ, DE and MD.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Structure and create data standards where needed.
  • Generate and use raw data to integrate and merge data from disconnected HR systems and formats to develop and maintain metrics and dashboards in Excel.
  • Provide support for recurring or custom HR dashboards.
  • Create data visualization with data insights and provide recommendations.
  • Become internal expert in compensation, compensation processes and CompAnalyst (salary.com) system.
  • Participate in the creation and implementation of a job architecture. Manage applicable systems, processes and documentation for the creation of new roles.
  • Participate in strategic and tactical compensation planning, processes, analysis and communication.
  • May utilize and support HR systems as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Understands the importance of testing, validation, proper syntax, data quality and data structure.
  • Must complete a compensation immersion program (dependent upon skill level).
  • Advanced Excel skills, including mastery over formulas, analysis functions, lookup functions, advanced charts, and forecast & trend tools.
  • Able to develop solutions to complex problems where analysis of situations and/or data requires in-depth evaluation of variables.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs and projects.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate with other resources and positively influence the work of others to execute on deliverables.
  • Process-oriented, with demonstrated experience in designing and documenting new processes and enhancing pre-existing ones.
  • Understands the importance of testing, validation, proper syntax, data quality and data structure.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze large quantities of data.
  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion, including operating within various data-privacy rules and regulations.
  • Able to effectively communicate on complex issues with a high level of effectiveness.
  • Able to organize work and set priorities for accomplishing work in a timely and effective manner.

Experience

  • 4 years of professional and applicable work experience in data analysis in Human Resources.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a similar role focused on HR reporting & data analytics, compensation analysis and/or workforce analytics.
  • Experience with data visualization development, predictive analytics and data storytelling.
  • Experience using Oracle and/or CompAnalyst is preferred but not required.

Education

  • Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent combination of experience and education.
