Job Overview:
NBT Bank is seeking a skilled Relationship Banker to join our team. As a Relationship Banker, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and responsiveness while providing quality, consultative customer service to ensure both internal and external customers' needs are met.
Responsibilities:
- Process daily transactions and associated general customer and account servicing duties with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide a consultative customer service approach to ensure a clear understanding of the customer's needs versus wants.
- Engage in referral and relationship management in accordance with established objectives and goals.
- Participate in community events that support efforts with the Community Reinvestment Act CRA.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Minimum one year experience in related banking positions preferred.
- Previous customer service, sales, and consumer lending experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient reading, writing, communication, and mathematical skills.
- Basic knowledge of Decision Pro, Loan-to-Value, and Debt-to-Income calculations, and reading credit reports.
