A successful candidate for the CAP Plumber Supervisor will provide the CAP mechanical construction operations group with planning, scheduling, and installing plumbing equipment, pipe fitting, and underground utility installations on multi-million-dollar Force Account construction, renovation, and major maintenance projects. Specifically, within the areas of offender labor force construction trade training and supervision; project; management and coordination with other trade groups; tool, equipment, and material procurement; scheduling of project inspections; and overall construction project evaluation and monitoring.
A successful candidate for this position shall have journeyman level plumbing trade skills, strong construction supervision, efficient decision-making capabilities, and the ability to clearly and concisely communicate both verbally and in writing.
The position requires weekly overnight travel to and from the assigned construction projects that could be located anywhere within the State of North Carolina. This position will have a duty station assigned as the individual’s permanent home address and is assigned a State owned and maintained vehicle that is used to commute to and from the construction projects and to perform Company business during normal working hours.
Work Schedule :
Monday - Thursday 7 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM but occasionally could require work hours on Fridays.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits.
