Position Description - Customer Service Associate
NC MedAssist is North Carolina’s only nonprofit, statewide free pharmacy. Our programs assist our neighbors with medication access needs by providing prescription and over-the-counter medication at no cost. Our mission is to dispense opportunities through improved health.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Customer Service Associate role is part of a dynamic, multifaceted Free OTC Store Team. This is a temporary (120-day) position that is responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurate data entry and efficient management of OTC inventory. The position will report to the Transitional Jobs Program Manager. Some weekend and night work may be required. Normal operating hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with a half hour for lunch.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Assist with the ongoing restocking of store shelves
2. Open store and respectfully greet every customer.
3. Provide explanation of store guidelines and limitations of products
4. Check out customers by accurately entering information in database
5. Work with store manager and team to ensure excellent customer service
6. Ask for assistance from the manager with clients who need further explanation
7. Keep store floor and shelves clean and free of debris
8. As needed, work with manager and others to prepare for a mobile free pharmacy event
9. Respect and show kindness to any volunteer
10. Must be able to lift and transfer boxes weighing at least 35 pounds
11. Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent
· Experience with data entry in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
· Demonstrate friendly and outgoing personality even under fast paced conditions
· Must pass pre-employment drug screening
