NC Solar Now has an immediate need for a full-time Billing and Collections Specialist in our Raleigh, NC headquarters. We are looking for an individual that embodies excellent customer service, has great organizational skills, is very accurate, and pays attention to detail. The primary responsibility of the Collections Specialist will be to manage billings and collect milestone payments while ensuring the accurate entry and coding of these accounting transactions into QuickBooks and Salesforce. This is NOT a remote or hybrid position.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include all aspects of Accounts Receivable - monitoring of customer accounts, generating invoices, posting payments, and collections.
Duties:
- Generate sales orders and invoices from customer contracts
- Collect customer payments in accordance with payment terms
- Make outbound collections calls in a friendly and professional manner in order to guarantee great customer service.
- Ensure our customer accounts are set up and updated correctly
- Record and track customer payments
- Verify account status by reconciling transactions
- Weekly/Monthly Reporting
- Assisting other departments when needed
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- 2-year Associate or College degree preferred
- 1-3 years related work experience with billing, collections, and accounts receivable as well as experience interacting with customers
- Work well under pressure and have strong organizational/ time management skills
- Excellent follow-up communication (written and verbal)
- Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
- Experience in QuickBooks Desktop
- Experience in Salesforce or another CRM preferred
- Ability to adapt, prioritize, and take initiative
