Job Summary
Community Living Instructors teach their assigned Individual’s Independent Living Skills at the Individual’s private place of residence and/or in the community. Duties include helping with daily living skills, budgeting, and navigating public transport! In addition, instructors make sure appointments are attended and medication is taken appropriately. Instructors ensure services received meet or exceed the company’s expectations of Individual’s served. This position has no subordinate colleague supervisory duties.

Essential Duties
- Develop and educate individuals on interaction and social skills within the community
- Teach and encourage proper leisure activities and the use of leisure time
- Instruct and encourage the development of client advocacy skills
- Enhance financial management skills through education
- Improve individuals' understanding of safeguarding and implementing policies to guard against financial, physical, emotional, and sexual abuse or exploitation
- Facilitate the acquisition, retention, and improvement of adaptive skills and behaviors
Qualifications/ Skills
- Must be able to successfully pass a Live Scan background check.
- Must have a California Driver’s License for at least 2 years with no major infractions in the last 4 years.
- Obtain a high school diploma or GED.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to be flexible with your work schedule and work according to company needs.
- Have patience, compassion, and ability to be a role model for adults with disabilities.
- Bilingual skills are a plus!

Compensation
The anticipated hiring range for this role is $19.50 an hour.
Salary : $20 - $250
