Retail Food Service Job Coach

Role/ Key Responsibilities
The Job Coach provides on-the-job training to Individual’s served in community-based employment to help ensure job placement success. The Job Coach also acts as principal liaison with employers based out of our Orange Dog Cafe in Atascadero. This position has no supervisory duties.

• Execute and monitor contract requirements to ensure quality of workmanship and customer expectations are being satisfied.
• Understand and submit all paperwork as required by deadline including transportation paperwork, attendance, job coach notes, objective sheets, incident/accident reports, time studies and case management documentation.
• Provide individuals with continuous instructions for work specific to vocational growth and training objectives that guarantee and correspond with abilities and development.
• Maintain a courteous, positive, enthusiastic, well-mannered and professional demeanor while working with Individuals served and the community.
• Promote and instruct the development of client advocacy skills, as well as advocate on the Individual’s behalf.
• Conduct weekly inventory and provide a detailed shopping list of items that need to be purchased.
• Ensure the safe and efficient handling and storage of food products, according to the Department of Health Standards and Regulations.
• And/or any other appropriate duties as assigned.

Qualifications/ Skills

• Must be able to successfully pass a LiveScan background check.
• Must have a valid California Driver's License for at least 2 years with no major infractions in the last 4 years.
• Basic computer/technology skills and knowledge.
• Obtain a high school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to be flexible with your work schedule and work according to company needs.
• Have patience, compassion, and ability to be a role model for adults with disabilities.

Schedule
The schedule required for this role is Monday-Friday 12PM to 6PM.
