Job Summary:
NCMC Freight is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist to handle financial transactions, ensure accurate and timely processing of payments, and maintain excellent relationships with our clients and vendors. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating accuracy and efficiency in all AP/AR processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable:
- Process outgoing payments in compliance with company policies.
- Verify and reconcile invoices, ensuring proper coding and approval.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and address payment inquiries.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are current and accurate.
- Accounts Receivable:
- Generate and distribute invoices promptly.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve discrepancies.
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure proper posting of payments.
- Address and resolve client billing inquiries or issues.
- General Duties:
- Prepare and present financial reports to leadership.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all financial transactions.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance financial workflows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- 2 years of experience in accounts payable and receivable roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (experience with QuickBooks is a plus) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of the transportation or logistics industry is a plus.
