Title of Position: Operations Support Engineer I
Location: Tulsa, OK
Reports to: Senior Engineer
Position Summary:
As an Operations Support Engineer, you’ll support our engineering projects with a focus on Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and technical documentation. You’ll collaborate closely with senior engineers and project managers to develop and refine designs, create accurate technical drawings, and ensure proper documentation of all mechanical systems and components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop 2D drawings and 3D CAD models/assembly models using SolidWorks
- Assist with the design, prototyping, and testing of mechanical components and systems
- Prepare, review, and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, field manuals, maintenance schedules, etc
- Work with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality assurance, and procurement) to ensure design feasibility and compliance with project requirements
- Support the creation of Bill of Materials (BOMs) and other technical documentation for product lifecycle management
- Conduct basic analysis and simulations to verify mechanical performance
- Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into project revisions
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality policies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor)
- Strong technical writing skills for creating clear, concise documentation
- Familiarity with mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
- Internship or co-op experience in mechanical design or documentation
- Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) systems
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Familiarity with ISO or ASME standards
