The North Central Texas Emergency Communications District (NCT9-1-1) is responsible for more than 40 Emergency Communications Centers (ECCs) in 13 counties surrounding the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. The Program supports these ECCs through maintaining and upgrading 9-1-1 equipment, providing up-to-date mapping information, training for public safety personnel, educating the public on the proper use of 9-1-1, and monitoring ECC functionality and compliances. NCT9-1-1 serves a population of 1.9 million and 10,800 square miles.
Job Description:
NCT9-1-1 is seeking a GIS Specialist II to collect, maintain, and QA/QC GIS data to coalesce into the Public Safety Enterprise GIS environment. The position will require a close working relationship with the Regional Addressing Authority in the NCT9-1-1 district area. This position will support the on-going expansion and improvement of GIS services within NCT9-1-1.
