Roughrider North Human Service Zone - Child Protection Case Manager - Dickinson
Roughrider North Human Service Zone is seeking dedicated and passionate Child Protection Case Manager for the Child Welfare/Family Services Department to support Child Welfare Services. Our mission is to protect children and families by providing advocacy, resources, and education while promoting stability and community connections.
Child Protection Case Manager example of duties:
- Assess and investigate reports of child abuse and neglect while ensuring compliance with policies, best practices, and emergency intervention procedures.
- Accurately document case details and connect families to essential services.
- Collaborate with service providers, law enforcement, and legal entities.
- Prepare for and testify in court proceedings.
- Maintain flexibility with on-call scheduling and non-traditional working hours.
To succeed in this position, you must have a passion for serving others and a commitment to making a positive impact. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. A thorough understanding of program policies and laws is required, as well as proficiency in various software and database applications with a willingness to learn new technology. Attention to detail, strong decision-making abilities, and strict adherence to state and federal regulations are critical.
To be considered for this position, you must have a bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human development, education, human services, child development and family science, behavioral health, or criminal justice. Plus, one of the following:
Family Service Specialist III (SC7005):
- Two (2) years of professional work experience as a social worker, child protective service worker, or professional case manager.
- A master's degree may substitute for one (1) year of the work experience requirement.
Family Services Specialist II (SC7004):
- One (1) year of professional work experience as a social worker, child protective service worker, or professional case manager.
- A master's degree in one of the above areas may substitute for the work experience requirement.
Family Services Specialist I (SC7004):
- No work experience required.
**Salary will be adjusted if the salary if filled as an underfill as an FSS I or FSS II**
Frequent travel is required.
