LOCATION: NDSCS – Wahpeton, North Dakota
TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Part-time, non-benefited position

JOB SUMMARY: The NDSCS Police Officer is responsible for the safety and security of students, staff/faculty, and visitors to NDSCS; enforcing all North Dakota criminal and traffic laws as well as protection of NDSCS property, etc.
Minimum Requirements
- Must support the mission, vision, and values of NDSCS
- Firearm qualification
- Knowledge of emergency vehicle operation
- Excellent oral, and written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of computer and word processing programs
- Ability to function in a stressful environment
- Knowledge of North Dakota Criminal and Traffic laws
- ND Peace officer license or ability to be licensed at the time of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- AA or AAS degree in Criminal Justice, or a related field
- 2 years’ of experience in the criminal justice field

HOURLY RATE: $22-25/hour, commensurate with education and experience
