Our team of professionals at the Northern Digital Inc. (NDI) office located in Shelburne, Vermont is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer Intern, whom will have responsibility and ownership for continuous improvement efforts for existing designs, processes, and tooling.
What You Will Be Doing:
- 3D modeling / CAD development of components, assemblies, and tooling used in the development and manufacture of medical sensors
- Resolve issues and provide effective, novel, and timely solutions to manufacturing fixtures
- Conduct and document applied research to support development and verification
- Perform other tasks as required by the company
- Work on a cross-functional team to help develop new sensor technology
What You Will Bring to This Role:
- Knowledge of Solidworks, Creo, Inventor, or equivalent modeling software
- Good personal organization as well as written and verbal communication skills
- Problem solving and trouble-shooting skills; attention to detail
- Work with a team lead as well as work independently on well-defined tasks
- Demonstrated use of engineering thought/principles in the planning, execution, and documentation of mechanical designs
