Our team of professionals at the Northern Digital Inc. (NDI) office located in Shelburne, Vermont is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer Intern, whom will have responsibility and ownership for continuous improvement efforts for existing designs, processes, and tooling.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • 3D modeling / CAD development of components, assemblies, and tooling used in the development and manufacture of medical sensors
  • Resolve issues and provide effective, novel, and timely solutions to manufacturing fixtures
  • Conduct and document applied research to support development and verification
  • Perform other tasks as required by the company
  • Work on a cross-functional team to help develop new sensor technology


What You Will Bring to This Role: 

  • Knowledge of Solidworks, Creo, Inventor, or equivalent modeling software
  • Good personal organization as well as written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem solving and trouble-shooting skills; attention to detail
  • Work with a team lead as well as work independently on well-defined tasks
  • Demonstrated use of engineering thought/principles in the planning, execution, and documentation of mechanical designs
