We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fiber Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fiber optics and telecommunications, with hands-on experience in fiber splicing and field service. This role involves working with various tools and equipment to install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic networks, ensuring reliable connectivity for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform fiber splicing and termination on various types of fiber optic cables.
- Conduct field service activities including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks.
- Utilize hand tools, voltmeters, and ohmmeters to test and ensure the integrity of installations.
- Collaborate with team members to execute projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of installations and repairs.
- Provide technical support for computer networking issues related to fiber optics.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Ethernet networking principles and low voltage systems.
- Experience with fiber splicing techniques and equipment.
- Familiarity with telecommunication systems and computer networking concepts.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools effectively.
- Ability to work independently in the field as well as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Most have a Suv ,Truck or Van to work out of.
