What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Technician - Windsor 1st shift position at NE-XT Technologies?
Perform a wide range of inspection duties to ensure vendor-repaired engine/module subassemblies and components meet aerospace industry standards, metrology requirements, and engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection & Compliance: Verify that repair work is performed in strict conformance with aerospace technical manuals, operation sheets, engineering requirements, and industry regulations to ensure the safety and integrity of engine hardware.
Technical Review: Analyze technical manual data and service repair operation sheets to confirm complete adherence to defined repair processes for subassemblies and components.
Metrology & Measurement: Utilize precision measuring instruments and metrology principles to take critical measurements during the inspection process, ensuring compliance with dimensional tolerances and specifications.
Tooling & Equipment Verification: Conduct visual inspections of tooling, gauges, and measuring instruments to confirm they are in good working condition and that calibration or inspection requirements are met per aerospace quality standards.
Dimensional & Visual Inspections: Perform detailed inspections of incoming and outgoing parts, assessing serviceability or reparability per approved technical data and aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP).
Documentation & Data Management: Review and archive all production and quality control documentation, including inspection reports, certificates, and compliance records, ensuring traceability and regulatory adherence.
Quality Assurance Support: Confirm that forms, tags, and vendor serviceability documentation comply with established processes and regulatory requirements.
Training & Oversight: Periodically assist in training, evaluating, and inspecting the work of other employees to ensure adherence to quality and inspection procedures.
Data Entry & Reporting: Input various quality control data into the computer database, maintaining accuracy and completeness in quality records.
Basic Qualifications
HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training)
US Citizenship required due to government contracts.
