About the Role -
As a Regional Controller, you will oversee the financial operations of multiple locations, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards. Reporting to the General Manager, your role will involve cash management, financial report writing, and general ledger accounting. You will leverage your expertise in financial analysis and accounting software to provide insights that drive strategic decisions. With a strong foundation in corporate accounting, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of the organization while supporting its growth objectives.
Responsibilities -
- Oversee and manage the entire accounting function, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
- Lead the monthly closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Be the subject matter expert on accounting software and the general ledger system.
- Manage tax compliance in coordination with external consultants and internal accounting teams.
- WIP preparation and coordination with Operations during month-end.
- Supervise and mentor staff accountants, senior accountants, and AP/AR personnel, with dotted-line oversight of similar roles in other company locations.
- Drive process improvements and efficiency within the accounting department, identifying opportunities for streamlining procedures and enhancing workflows.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to support the company’s growth, including preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
Qualifications -
- 6 years of experience as a Controller or in senior-level accounting roles.
- Expertise in percentage-of-completion accounting, with a strong understanding of revenue recognition, especially in construction and project-based industries.
- Expertise in accounting software and general ledger systems; comfortable becoming the internal expert on these systems.
- Background in construction industry required.
- Bachelors degree in finance or accounting.
- CPA preferred or equivalent accounting background (Big 4 experience a plus, but not required).
- System implementation experience (preferred)
Pay range and compensation package - $115,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year Bonus
