Position Overview
The Commercial Escrow Manager works with management and staff to develop and implement escrow processes and procedures. This position is responsible for motivating team members, improving and standardizing processes, and utilizing SoftPro and other resources to the fullest. The Commercial Escrow Manager will recruit and train a department of Commercial Escrow Employees and Assistants and protect and partner with our clients to deliver industry-leading service and technical expertise.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage escrow closings for complex single and multi-site local and national commercial real estate transactions.
- Prepare and oversee preparation of complex commercial settlement statements.
- Supervise Commercial Escrow Employees and Assistants.
- Provide feedback for annual reviews of the Commercial Escrow Employees and Assistants.
- Build and implement a cross-training program for the team to handle multiple states.
- Review Escrow and Revenue reports for accuracy and outstanding balances.
- Manage the Commercial Closing Calendar and assign files as needed.
- Create standardized workflows and defined business rules.
- Identify and agree on top priorities by focusing on the most pressing needs and common procedures first.
- Continually integrate standard procedures to new staff and offices.
- Implement policies to continually train and educate the team until full implementation and positive results are achieved.
- Review files flagged by Accounting for errors.
- Audit files for accuracy.
- Draft and revise Escrow Procedures and integrate Best Practices.
- Assist with Client-Closer Relationships.
- Assist the Accounting Department with departmental procedures and implementation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Title insurance license (can be obtained after hire).
- 10 years of title industry experience, with a strong background in commercial escrow and title transactions.
- 3 years of management/leadership experience in commercial title and escrow.
This is an in-office role in Chicago with some limited travel expectations. Most of which is done via the use of the employee's personal automobile. Occasional interstate or overnight travel may be required.

Pay
· $120,000 based on experience
