What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Closing Assistant position at Near North Title Group?
Position: Near North Title Group is looking for a Residential Closing Assistant for our growing office in Marshfield, WI.
Responsibilities:
- Review title commitments for accuracy, including vesting and legal descriptions, spelling of names, and tax verification.
- Collaborate with examiners, lenders, and principals to reconcile discrepancies between instructions and title commitments.
- Provide timely distribution of Settlement Services to existing clients.
- Set up Recordable Documents for E-Recording.
- Prepare closing files for Escrow Closers.
- Confirm wire instructions and post wires to appropriate files.
- Provide Prelim CDs, request Seller Figures, and obtain Lender packages and Figures.
- Order updated CPLs as necessary.
- Distribute Title Documents to involved parties as needed.
- Process escrow deposits.
- Prepare CDs and/or Settlement Statements.
- Monitor Escrow Inbox and Wire Inbox.
- Run office errands (to banks, real estate offices, etc.).
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- Proficiency in MS Office software.
- SoftPro experience is a plus.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
