What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part time closing assistant teacher position at Northstar Early Learning Center?
Our teachers are a source of guidance, love, and learning to the classroom helping children to learn and grow.
Teachers inspire children to be lifelong learners through our evidence-based curriculum, meeting the social, physical and cognitive development of children between 6 months to 6 years old. Our teachers create robust relationships with children, families, and team members to ensure our center is successful. They also pay attention to detail, ensuring that our experience is in accordance with all licensing regulations, policies, and procedures.
We need a loving caregiver to float in our 2 infant classrooms, providing breaks for the teachers and then close the classroom at the end of the day.
Duties
- Partner with the infant teaching team to do the following:
- Implementing curriculum
- Provide a nurturing and warm environment
- Parent communication
- Take care of daily care tasks of infants such as feeding and diapering
- Providing a clean and sanitary learning environment
- Completing assessment and parent conferences
- Utilize Lillio (Hi Mama) app to record daily logs
- Assist children with social/emotional growth & development
- Maintain licensing standards in the classroom & center
Requirements
- Genuine love for children
- 18 years and older
- High school diploma
- 1 year experience (preferred)
- Childcare employee physical and TB test (within the last year)
- 2 letters of recommendation
- Must be able to pass all WI state and federal clearances
- Pay is based on experience and educational background
- CPR/1st Aid certification (within 90 days of hire)
- proof of education
- Mandated reporter certification (we will provide)
- Safe sleep and Abusive head trauma training (we will provide)
