Our client, a leading Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP), is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Security Operations Center (SOC) to join their team. This role is critical in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the SOC, ensuring the highest level of security for our clients, and driving continuous improvement in our security services.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the SOC team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices
- Oversee incident response processes and ensure timely resolution of security incidents
- Collaborate with other departments to align SOC activities with business objectives
- Manage relationships with key technology partners and vendors
- Provide regular reports to executive management on SOC performance and security metrics
- Stay updated on emerging threats and security trends to enhance SOC capabilities
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Optimize SOC processes for efficiency and effectiveness
- Manage the SOC budget and resource allocation
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing a SOC, preferably for an MSSP
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices
- Experience with a wide range of security technologies and tools
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GCIA) preferred
