What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swim Coach Part Time position at Nebraska Aquatics?
Nebraska Aquatics (NA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit swim club in Lincoln, Nebraska, that is operated under the direction of a Board of Directors. Nebraska Aquatics is seeking a strong, energetic, and dynamic leader to serve as Assistant Coach for our growing USA swim team. NA’s current membership consists of about 50 athletes, spanning all competitive levels from novice to advanced. NA’s Mission is to develop swimmers to their fullest capabilities and, in the process, teach life balance, citizenship, and dedication to the rewarding sport of competitive swimming.
Candidates must be enthusiastic about the sport of swimming, be comfortable working with children of all ages (6-18) and ability levels. Candidates must be available to coach at least 3 nights per week and occasional weekends.
Required Qualifications:
- Previous competitive swimming background at the HS level/USA Swimming or above.
- Fulfill all USA Swimming Coach Requirements prior to employment (training provided).
- Knowledge of current swimming techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to work collaboratively with other coaches under the direction of the NA Head Coach.
- Previous coaching experience and/or collegiate swimming experience.
- Age: 18
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Employee
- Nebraska Aquatics covers required continuing education costs, reimburses for travel to meets outside Lincoln and required USA Swimming certifications.
Hours:
- Year-round swim club
- Monday-Friday. Each practice is 2 hours in length and range in start time from 6-8pm.
- Occasional weekends for swim meets.
