Job Description
Are you looking to be a part of meaningful work in training and development? The Beatrice State Developmental Center (BSDC) is looking for their next Training Coordinator! This role will support our 24-hour facility where we care for people with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities. This position is located on the BSDC campus.

Examples of Work
Minimum Qualifications: Four years’ experience and/or training in planning and presenting information and/or education to others through formal training, workshops, seminars, or other instructional venues including experience developing training programs or curriculum. Bachelor’s degree in education, human resources, organization communication, training and development or related field may be substituted for experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Five years’ experience and/or training in planning and presenting information and/or education to others. Experience working individuals that have Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities.
Knowledge of: Learning and training theories, concepts, methods, and techniques utilized in adult instruction; employee coaching and counseling techniques.
Skill in: Researching topics for curricula development and training; presenting educational materials in classroom and e-learning settings; creating rapport with learners individually and in groups.
Ability to: Conduct formal program assessments to determine agency training needs and develop learning opportunities to address identified needs; assess learners' achievement and competency demonstration and develop related individual training/mentoring programs; evaluate the effectiveness of training courses and initiate or recommend course changes based on evaluation; operate audio-visual and computer equipment to create and deliver training and instruction; establish and maintain effective working relationships with trainees, supervisors, and agency administrators.

Examples of Work
- Create, develop, review, edit, provide feedback, and maintain accurate training materials consisting of online and classroom facilitator and participant guides, handouts, activities, scenarios, discussion questions, and assessments.
- Facilitate in-person new employee orientation training at 24-hour facilities and equip them to provide excellent care for people with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs, on in collaboration with other trainers and subject matter experts as needed.
- Communicate with, register employees for, and facilitate annually required trainings to ensure accreditation requirements are met with timeliness, completeness, and accuracy.
- Manage training systems and maintain data to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of training courses and learning strategies, and make improvements where necessary.
- Provide direction and assistance to DHHS facilities staff about new employee orientation and ongoing professional development training opportunities and improvements.
- Establish and communicate training analytics and reporting to facility administrators and Learning & Development leadership.
- Facilitate MANDT Training
- Other duties as assigned
