What are the responsibilities and job description for the Power Generation Field Service Technician position at Nebraska Generator Service LLC?
Position Summary
The responsiblity of this position is to perform repairs and services on all makes and models of generators with a primary focus on Cummins and Blue Star Power Systems generators. The Field Technician will be often traveling with in our region to meet customers at various sites from helathcare, commercial, industrial and agriculture. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and customer service skills that is willing to learn.

Position Objectives
- Electrical Troublshooting and problem solving with AC/DC electrical Systems.
- Responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing generators, automatic transfer switches and related products in the field.
- Ability and willingness to learn to use electrical wiring diagrams and schematics for troublooting and repairs.
- Troublshoot engine and generator for needed repair and provide a solution to the customer on diesel, natural gas and propane systems.
- Performs scheduled annual inspection and full services on all makes, models and sizes of generator systems to include load banking, lube services, fueling and cooling system maintenance.
- Able to travel out of the local area to provide services for all customers.
Position Key Competencies
- Proficiency with computer programs, email, word, pdf, etc.
- Previous knowledge with hand tools and power tools
- Good communicating skills to provide feedback to the customer and to the team
- Cleanliness and organization for representation an timely service
- Ability to complete repair after properly troubleshooting issues
Education & Experience
- Associate degree or equivelant in related field
- Previuous diesel, power generation or related experience
- Clean Driving record
- Able to pass a drug and alcohol test
- Willing to travel
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
