Position Summary:
NIFA is seeking a process-oriented, collaborative leader to join our lending division. Key job duties will include developing strategies, tactics, and performance goals required to achieve targeted financial objectives while building relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, examiners, servicers, and other external partners. Strong collaboration and leadership skills are essential, as is the ability to explain and support new ways of working with staff and partners.

Essential Job Functions:
- Actively develop, participate in, and contribute to the achievement of NIFA's strategic objectives and departmental goals.
- Provide leadership and oversight for Single Family, Agricultural, and Commercial Lending activities for NIFA.
- Collaborate and strategize with Finance, Marketing, and Community Collaboration teams to effectively deliver existing and new program resources to grow NIFA's asset base.
- Work with legal team to ensure Lending programs remain in compliance with federal tax laws and fair lending regulations.
- Coordinate and manage relationships with NIFA's Master Servicer, existing Participating Lenders, and other partners in the affordable lending industry.
- Establish new business opportunities with lending institutions, real estate agents, non-profit organizations, and other housing and community partners.
- Work closely with the Homeownership team to identify areas of improvement to increase efficiencies with our review process and pipeline management.
- Create, review, update and improve documentation of all relevant business processes at least annually.
- Demonstrate open and effective communication with NIFA team members and partners.
- Provide support and opportunities for homeownership team members to advance their growth at NIFA.
- Attend conferences and training to increase overall knowledge.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Master’s degree preferred, but relevant experience may substitute.
- Experience working in Single Family, Multifamily, Agricultural, and/or Commercial underwriting
- Experience successfully networking and building strong relationships.
- Effective leadership and management skills.
- Confidence presenting and public speaking.
