What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern summer 2025 position at Nebraska Public Power District?
Position Summary
This is a temporary entry-level customer care position. Incumbent assumes primary accountability for customer relationships by assisting customers with after normal business hours with inquiries, requests, and outage calls.
Education, Training and Experience
The Intern must be enrolled in an accredited two year or four year college / university carrying a minimum of 12 semester units or eight quarter units with freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior standing in a related major and must maintain enrollment throughout the internship.
The internship / training must be in the student's field of study. College credit may apply to some internships.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers by providing knowledge-based solutions to customer issues that are in the best interest of NPPD and our customers.
This includes account collections, requests, and outage calls.
Ensure the integrity of information provided to customers by referencing specific procedures and reference documents.
Follow NPPD safety processes and procedures.
Accountable for other duties as assigned.
