Nature of Work
Recruit and counsel prospective students regarding the admissions and enrollment process. Report and track student admissions information. Includes extensive travel.
Examples of Work Performed
- Manage assigned recruiting territory from an office in Chadron, Nebraska.
- Extensive travel to high schools, community colleges, college fairs, job fairs, community events and other promotional events within assigned recruiting territory.
- Identify and recruit both campus based as well as online prospective students.
- Plan and conduct visits to high schools, community colleges, college fairs, job fairs, community events and other promotional events
- Contacts prospective students (leads) and provides accurate and complete information about the Campus and the programs of education, both undergraduate and graduate as well as campus based and online students, offered by CSC in a factual and ethical manner.
- Manage and organize inquiries received for both campus based and online learners.
- Take inquiry calls from all potential students interested in knowing or receiving information about CSC campus based and online programs. Make outbound phone calls to potential students that have expressed interest in attending the Campus or taking online courses.
- Return web inquiries and calls promptly to all potential students.
- Compose and send personal email and written correspondence
- Assists applicants in completing application and enrollment paperwork, and executes such paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
- Excellent knowledge of software preferably including experience with student information systems
- Review EMP queries for status of pre-applicants and applicants
- Maintain a social media presence
- Assist in developing prospective student publications and promotional displays
- Contribute ideas and provide input regarding advertising opportunities
- Seek out opportunities for CSC promotional displays in assigned territory
- Contribute ideas and provide input regarding the viewbook
- Provide enrollment assistance to new and current students
- Provide general information to prospective students, counselors, advisors and parent about CSC housing, scholarships, health services, tutoring, advising and other campus offices
- Assist with tours, open houses, On-Campus Registration sessions and New Student Orientation as need
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in college admissions or public relations preferred
Public speaking experience
Computer, database and analytical skills preferred.

The physical requirements for this position may include, but are not necessarily limited to, the ability to use a computer, calculator, telephone, keyboard, and/or various types of office equipment.
