Graduate Assistants are hired at Wayne State College to assist in meeting the vision and goals established for WSC. Strategic deployment of graduate assistant positions is essential to ensure that limited resources are utilized in a manner consistent with the philosophy of WSC. Graduate assistants provide experiential learning in select areas and to assist the individual in a successful transition to future educational and professional opportunities.
Examples of Work Performed
Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in the Department of HHPS.

Special Instructions to Applicants
Wayne State College is seeking a Graduate Assistant for the Human, Health, Performance and Sport department. A total (maximum) of 800 hours of work is required for this Graduate Assistantship. Typically, twenty-five (25) hours of work will be assigned per week by your supervisor during the Academic Year. The special appointment provides a stipend of $12,000.00 for the 2025-2026 academic year and a graduate tuition waiver available for up to 18 credit hours per academic year including the immediately following summer session. All fees will be the responsibility of the student regardless of online or on-campus. Tuition remissions awarded for online courses will not exceed the comparable amount provided for an on-campus course for a resident student.
This is an appointment with the opportunity of renewal after the first year.
Desired start date of August 2025.
