Job Summary
The Material Handler follows safety regulations, guidelines and work rules in a demanding shop environment. The selected applicant will use computer, software, hand held devises and required tools and equipment designed to make the work flow properly. Powered Industrial equipment will be used to move and ship finished goods that meet customer expectations. Daily efforts are made to ensure our costs are in line with profitability. Material Handlers are required to package finished goods in such a way that delivery requirements are met. Nederman Employees are required to be respectful of the people, products, and assets of our organization.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Be on time ready to work at the start of shift though the end of shift
Work safely and be quality minded (Use PPE, and safety equipment)
Operate equipment associated with materials, shipping, handling, weights and measures
Identify, locate and move parts and assemblies in the electronic system
Competent use of all types of Powered Industrial Equipment including but limited to sit down and stand up forklifts
Package finish goods and deliver replenishment of piece parts needed in work cells
Prepare products and parts for various types of shipping methods
Be a positive company steward in every way
Qualifications
Your Experience & Education
High School Diploma minimum; Associate Degree in relevant field preferred
Your Skills & Traits
General understanding of reading and writing of English language
Weights, Dimensions and basic math knowledge required
Ability to follow material lists, shipping manifests and instructions
Ability to organize work area and maintain good housekeeping and organization
Ability to use company provided software, computer systems and devices
Excellent hand eye coordination
Operation of Forklift and standup lift experience required
Ability to work well with others at all levels
Able to perform in a non-climate controlled environment
Standing, stooping, bending and using hand tools associated with assembly activities
Able to lift 30lbs occasionally
