seeking a Utilities Consultant experienced in Advanced Power Systems Application like GE PowerOn Reliance - In this role, you will be working with Electric Utilities or ISOs (Independent System Operators) and Transmission and Distribution System Operators on modelling, functional software specifications, designing, testing, application tuning and delivery. You will be an expert contributing to different phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will be intensely involved in business process consulting; you will define the problem, propose, and create the solution. You will also play an important role in the development, configuration, and deployment of the overall solution. You will guide teams on project processes, deliverables and contribute to the proposal development, client training and internal capability building and help detail the project scope. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Experience working in Advanced Power Systems Application / EMS - GE PowerOn Reliance
Preferred Qualification:
• At least 5 years of experience in Transmission and distribution automation processes and systems
• Experience of at least 1 full-cycle implementation for a utility (Power) with hands on Functional testing and deployment experience of GE PowerOn Reliance
• Knowledgeable in smart distribution and transmission control systems.
• Should have strong understanding on grid operational suites (ADMS, EMS, SCADA)
• Should be able to comprehend and design industry standard information exchange models like CIM (61970 & 61968).
• Should be able to develop business process and system use cases
• Should have excellent soft-skills and leadership skills to lead assessment workshops, and work with Enterprise architects to design roadmaps for next 5 years.
• Experience in utilities in North America
• Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
