We are looking for a on-site Senior Accountant to join our growing Norcross, GA office that will report to the Southeast Region Finance Manager. You will have the opportunity to gain a broad perspective of Nefab’s business thru interactions with various departments across the company. This position will support the profitable growth of the Company by helping ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and relevance of financial information and processes. In addition, you will have the opportunity to contribute and develop in a fast-paced and growing global company. This role will encourage you to demonstrate and develop your leadership skills, utilizing excellent communication, presentation and financial analysis skills as well as being a liaison with other groups throughout the company.
This position will require up to 25% travel within Southeast subregion of the United States; primarily within Atlanta metropolitan area.
Main Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting:Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the manufacturing site, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Cost Accounting: Oversee the site’s cost accounting processes, including tracking and analyzing manufacturing cost, variances, and inventory valuation.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory accounting processes, including valuation, reconciliation, and analysis of inventory levels. Collaborate with operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency in inventory management.
- Internal Controls: Maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Identify control weaknesses and implement corrective actions.
- Capital Expenditure Analysis: Analyze and evaluate capital expenditure proposals for the manufacturing site. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support investment decisions.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making by site management. Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure site performance.
- Month-end Close: Lead the month-end close process for the manufacturing site, ensuring timely and accurate recording of journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
- Audit Support: Coordinate and assist with external audits for the manufacturing site, including providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the finance function at the manufacturing Implement best practices and streamline workflows to optimize financial operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or 5 years of related experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in all aspects of accounting, manufacturing preferred
- Experience with cost accounting and inventory is desired
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Strong analytical skills with attention to details
- Must be able to multi-task, be organized and efficient
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or Infor/M3 ERP is a plus
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and PC skills
