What are the responsibilities and job description for the International Account Executive (Japanese Fluency Required) position at NEI Global Relocation?
The International Account Executive (IAE) will serve as the single point of contact for the international assignee and is responsible for the service delivery and/or management of all global mobility services authorized by the client. This position requires written and oral fluency in Japanese.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Accept authorizations, review assignee issues and status of moves, and discuss exceptions to policy or authorized benefits.
- Thoroughly review all benefits being offered and administered by NEI, all expenses covered and ensures compliance with agreement between NEI and client, and client policies.
- Achieve client and/or NEI program goals.
- Manage all global assignment services throughout the assignment process; pre-assignment, relocation, on-assignment, and repatriation.
- Initiate the assignee and spouse/partner, if applicable, into the global assignment process by discussing all approved relocation benefits and timeframes for services being delivered, and complete a comprehensive needs analysis.
- Order services from applicable supplier partners, follow-up on ordered services and be the liaison between the assignee and all supplier partners from the initiation of services through completion, including proactive follow-up. Supplier partner services include, but are not limited to:
- Visa & Immigration, Area Orientation, Home Finding, Destination and Departure Services, Property Management, Household Goods Movement & Storage, Language and Cultural Training, Global Banking, Temporary Living, Insurance & Security, and Tax Equalization & Preparation
- Communicate the NEI expense management procedures – how the assignee may be reimbursed for expenses, how various allowances or premiums are paid direct to providers, how reimbursements or payments affect the assignee’s income as well as the taxability of these payments.
- Maintain accurate and timely records and data entry in NEI’s system.
- Partner with internal departments, such as supplier relations and expense management, etc., ensuring accurate and timely service.
- Review client billings for accuracy and compliance with Relocation Service Agreements.
- Other duties as assigned for NEI’s business need.
- Model the NEI culture in all business interactions.
- Provide cell phone number to clients and assignees for necessary contact after business hours.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years’ experience in relocation management and/or international assignment services
- Works well in a multi-cultural environment
- Written and oral fluency in Japanese. Must be able to have professional level communications to clients and transferees in Japanese.
- Strong understanding of Japanese culture and business practices.
- Willingness/ability to travel periodically as needed
- Strong desire to serve others
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, as well as general database knowledge
- Dependable and flexible
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and complete last minute requests
