The Accounting Clerk will provide accounting administrative and clerical support to the accounting team. This role will perform specific coverage support duties for the Accounting Department. This is an in-office role that includes providing support for a mainly remote accounting team.
Responsibilities
- Processes incoming, outgoing and interoffice mail to and from the Accounting Department
- Works within accounting systems to perform accounts payable tasks, such as data entry of incoming invoices, account reconciliations, and various reports
- Coordinates distribution of checks to vendors and employees
- Scans and distributes accounting documents
- Answers and responds to telephone inquiries
- Provides coverage for accounting specialists, such as cash handling functions, reconciling cash receipts, depositing checks, and providing support regarding banking and credit card processing to all Neighborhood Healthcare sites
- Creates reports and completes special projects as assigned
- This role is required to start their day at 7:30am to assist with greeting the courier
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- High School diploma required
- One year general accounting or accounts payable experience required
Additional Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including composition, typing, and proofreading skills
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Knowledgeable about and experience with accounting systems
- Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent organizational ability
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Ability to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical manner

Pay range: $22.88 - $30.19 per hour, depending on experience.
Compensation Disclosure: The posted salary range reflects the designated pay grade for this position. While this range represents the broader classification of the role, actual compensation will be based on several factors, including but not limited to: the candidate’s overall knowledge, skills, and experience, market data and industry benchmarks, internal equity within the organization, Budgetary considerations and organizational needs. As a result, placement within the range is not guaranteed, and the full pay grade range may not be utilized.
