Job Summary:
The Back Office Supervisor will supervise, schedule, and coordinate the work of clinical support employees within a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center at NOAH.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervises and schedules the back-office staff for multiple provider service lines.

Assists in recruiting and hiring.

Conducts timely performance evaluations and provides regular performance feedback.

Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training and coaching needs for current staff.

Ensures staff adhere to and follow all policies, procedures, and regulations.

Recommends employees for transfer, promotion, raises, discipline, and/or termination.

Trains employees on policies and procedures for provider practice management.
Duties/Responsibilities:
-
Implements protocols and processes to meet organizational goals, including, but not limited to, productivity, quality, and patient satisfaction.

Ensures standardized implementation and practice of policies and procedures and informs staff of updates.

Ensures day to day operations of back office responsibilities are completed accurately and appropriately.

Ensures operations meet regulatory guidelines, equipment is in working order and appropriate inventory of supplies is maintained.

Serves as the next escalation point for clarification and/or resolution for patients, employees, and providers.

Serves as a back-up during the absence of clinic leadership and when needed may be asked to be the direct line of supervision for all front office and back office (MA/back office) staff.

Performs registration, scheduling, and MA duties as needed.

Creates and maintains the work schedule for back office and provides coverage as needed.

Attends, participates, and/or assists in meetings, trainings, community outreach activities, continuing education opportunities, and other activities as required.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Required:
-
High school diploma or GED required.
-
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant, OR completion of a Medical Assistant training that meets BOMEX guidelines, OR completion of a United States Armed Forces medical services training program OR meet necessary guidelines as described in Arizona Board of Medical Examiners Administrative Code, Title 4, Chapter 16, Article 4, Section R4-16-401, paragraphs A and B prior to start date.

Basic Life Support (BLS).

2 years of leadership experience.

2 years of medical back office experience.
Preferred:
-
Vocational or Specialized training.

2 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.

1 years of multi-site supervisory experience.
Other Requirements:

New Hires are required to pass pre-employment background check and drug testing (effective 11/1/2022).

Current Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card or must pass fingerprint clearance within 7 days following hire.
