The Project Manager of Healthcare Process Improvement will enhance organizational efficiency by analyzing, optimizing, and redesigning processes within the organization. The Project manager will facilitate continuous improvement by effectively collaborating across departments to lead and implement transformative initiatives that align with our organization’s mission to provide high-quality patient care.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Leads end-to-end project management for process redesign initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
- Leads planning sessions, monitors and tracks progress, and conducts regular reviews at the program and project level, to demonstrate strong oversight.
- Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
- Report on project progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership, providing insights and recommendations for future initiatives.
- Utilize Lean principles to identify waste, streamline processes, and implement best practices that improve efficiency and service quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical and non-clinical departments, to assess current workflows and develop optimized solutions.
- Facilitate workshops and continuous improvement events to promote Lean thinking and engage teams in identifying process improvement opportunities.
- Collect, analyze, and present data on process performance and improvement metrics, using findings to drive evidence-based decisions and recommendations.
- Mentor and educate staff on Lean methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Attends, participates, and/or assists in meetings, trainings, community outreach activities, continuing education opportunities, and other activities as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
- 2 years of project management, program management, business analysis and/or business development with a focus on process redesign and improvement required.
- Proven experience applying Lean methodologies in healthcare, public health, or a related industry.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of project management processes, workflows, and terminology.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet) and process mapping tools (e.g., Visio).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), or similar continuous improvement framework preferred.
- 1 years of executive-level communication and presentation experience preferred.
- 1 years of healthcare industry experience preferred.
