POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for correctly and promptly taking all direct consumer loan applications via all application channels. Attempt to retain existing members and acquire new members by developing personalized banking relationships and by offering superior service and lending expertise. Support a sales and service culture by consistently, effectively, and efficiently offering credit union lending products along with ancillary products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for the reception and preparation of all consumer loan applications for both members and non-members. Respond to member inquiries and requests regarding loans.
- Ensure proper loan information is collected to maintain acceptable credit standards and to conform to credit union policy. Review submitted applications for proper structure and possible additional sales opportunities. Prepare for submittal to underwriter.
- Collect all required documentation from members in a timely manner and make certain that all information in the application is correct and ready for processing.
- Review loan applications with the applicant and coach on proper credit building as well as answer any other lending questions applicants may have. Counsel members on current financial situation and credit worthiness, when applicable.
- Responsible for retaining existing members and acquiring new members through an active inbound/outbound call campaign, portfolio management, developing personalized banking relationships and by offering superior member service and products.
- Establish and expand current relationships with members by determining additional product and services needs for the member.
- Proactively promote and sell credit union products and services by capitalizing on cross-selling opportunities found within the application process.
- Maintain monthly referral and sales requirements. Maintain monthly participation goals including but not limited to the following: Credit Life & Credit Disability, Vehicle Service Contracts, and GAP.
- Quote tax, title, license, and Wildlife and Fisheries fees as needed.
- Utilize the lending origination system (LOS) as suggested. Assist in testing the LOS if requested by management. Give requests and ideas for enhancements within the LOS.
- Educate and promote the use of multiple delivery channels for member convenience as well as Protection Solution packages.
- Provide assistance with inbound/outbound sales and service calls into the Contact? Center as well into the branches when needed.
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with the Bank Secrecy Act as it relates to this position.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned by management.

- Ability to obtain and maintain a Louisiana credit license.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required. One to two years financial services experience (preferably in a call center environment or retail sales) and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary : $30,000
