Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Plant Health Care Technician through our Landscape Maintenance Department and/or our Retail Nursery Department. This is an entry level position that requires a solid work ethic, the ability to follow directions, a good attitude and the desire to learn. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance, as well as, plant health care. This role involves performing various tasks related to lawn care, garden upkeep, plant identification, and customer service while ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. We are a E-Verify Compliant company.

Responsibilities

  • Perform lawn care activities including mowing, fertilizing, and weed control.
  • Maintain gardens by planting, pruning, and caring for flowers, shrubs, and trees.
  • Operate power tools and equipment safely and efficiently for various landscaping tasks.
  • Conduct regular landscape maintenance to ensure the health and aesthetics of outdoor spaces.
  • Provide tree care services including trimming, pruning, and disease identification.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly storing tools and equipment after use.
  • Plant care including watering, weeding, and deadheading flowers.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety protocols.

Skills

  • Proficiency in lawn care techniques and landscape maintenance practices.
  • Experience with garden management including planting and caring for various plants.
  • Familiarity with operating power tools such as trimmers, blowers, mowers, and saws.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues when they arise.
  • Ability to dig effectively for planting.
  • A keen eye for landscape design elements that enhance outdoor spaces.
  • Experience in tree care practices is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn any task put in front of them.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
