General Job Description
As a Designer at Nell Hill's, you are responsible for assisting clients in planning and designing spaces. You will be the resource for product information, providing the highest level of service and following up to close the sale. You will play a critical role in helping our clients create a space they love.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Advise clients on design factors such as space planning, layout and utilization of color schemes and color coordination.
- Collaborate with clients to determine preferences, purpose, functionality, budget, color, and other factors that will affect the design.
Put presentations together as quotes, floor plans, and product specifications to client for approval.
- Follow-up to each client to ensure satisfaction of all products ordered and identify and resolve all post-order problems quickly and efficiently.
- Clienteling initiatives are the responsibility of the designer. Designers are expected to create and maintain a list of clients and systematically check in with them. We are a retail store, when a designer is not actively working on a project, they are expected to work on the sales floor to gain additional business.
