Fleet Maintenance Coordinator Job Description

This job opening is for a Fleet Maintenance Coordinator who will be responsible for maintaining our fleet of commercial trucks. This includes scheduling maintenance, coordinating with mechanics and vendors, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for our ready-mix and aggregate trucks.
2. Create and assign work orders for maintenance and repairs, monitoring their progress and ensuring timely completion.
3. Maintain accurate records of service history, DOT inspections, and compliance reports to ensure our fleet meets all applicable regulations.
4. Collaborate with the Parts & Inventory Specialist to manage inventory levels and order necessary parts and equipment for scheduled and emergency repairs.
5. Serve as a liaison between mechanics, drivers, and fleet managers, communicating with dealers, parts suppliers, and third-party repair shops as needed.

Qualifications:

• At least 3-5 years of experience in fleet maintenance.
• Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local transportation safety regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
