San Clemente Property Management firm is looking for a go-getter Accounts Payable Manager in our Corporate office. A self-starter who is high energy, can handle high intensity, organized, and willing to take on a challenge. Job functions and duties:
Candidate will be responsible for Accounts Payable at both the Corporate and Property level utilizing Entrata Property Management software and QuickBooks Online.
Coordinate the transfer of vendor invoices to the AP workflow approval process.
Maintain complete accuracy of data input with regard to: post month, invoice date, current period amount, cost center assignment, GL account code, etc.
Recognize prior period charges and reconcile prior period vouchers. Work with Property Managers and Corporate accounting staff to ensure proper allocation and voucher coding.
Review AP email accounts maintaining an efficient system of unpaid and processed AP vouchers. Post vendor invoices, reconcile unpaid invoices, review vendor statements.
Oversee vendor profile management/maintenance.
Coordinate monthly AP Aging with Property Managers and Corporate Accounting. Produce AP Aging reports, highlight priority vendors for payment processing.
Process payment of approved AP vouchers.
Study and implement ACH payment system with the assistance of Entrata software administrator.
Recognize roadblocks and recommend process improvement to the AP process where necessary
Perform year end tax reporting and filing of 1099’s.
Prepare year end reports as needed.
Select and hire team members to assist with department needs.
Requirements:
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, the individual must have a strong work ethic, be extremely organized, and have the ability to solve ambiguous problems. This individual must also be a quick learner and be able to work with various accounting platforms.
Education and experience· Must have previous payables or accounting experience· Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel and Outlook)· Experience with Entrada and QuickBooks on-line a plus· Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment both in a team and individually· Strong technical acumen; must be a quick learner with regards to third-party applicationsWe have an “everyone is hands-on” mentality!
